Our parish was created in the Diocese of Columbus, Ohio on July 11, 1995 when three northern Tuscarawas County parishes were united. They were St. Aloysius - Strasburg, St. Patrick - Mineral City, and St. Stephen - Bolivar. On the weekend of June 9 and 10, 2001 the parishioners worshipped in the new parish facility in Zoar. Bishop James Griffin of the Diocese of Columbus blessed the building, and confirmed seventeen young men and women.
