    UPDATE FROM HOLY TRINITY

For all of our Mom's Happy Mother's Day! We hope you get to enjoy some time with your families this weekend.
We have begun the 2021 Bishop's Annual Appeal. This is an annual fundraising effort conducted throughout the Diocese that benefits ministries, programs and services in education, charity, spiritual formation, pastoral ministry, parish assistance and much more. Please prayerfully consider what you can do to help. Envelopes are in the hallway. You can drop your envelope in the offertory basket, send it in the mail or go to columbuscatholicgiving.org to make a donation online.
Many, many thanks to all of those who made this year's Monte Carlo event a success. Whether you volunteered, bought a raffle ticket, golfed, sponsored a hole or served on the committee we appreciate you! Our goal this year with a modified event was to raise 10 to 15 thousand dollars. We are happy to report that we overachieved our goal and raised $19,000. Thank you for making this annual event possible!

Thank you to our youth who cleaned up around the building, washed windows, moved our propane storage outside, put end caps on our aisle chairs, cleaned up Mary's garden, moved round tables to the barn, and moved wood to the firepit. After all their work, they enjoyed kickball, painting, and watched a video of the family from Tanzania to whom they donated their Fish Fry tips. They also enjoyed subs, snacks and drinks and some prayer too! Thanks to all who helped in any way!

You may have noticed we once again have our music and liturgy books available for your use in Mass participation. Please leave your books on your chair after mass. They will be fogged along with the church after Mass and then put away.

Our wonderful Knights are looking for some new members. Our Knights do a lot more than fry fish. They support many parish activities, such as the Brat booth, Monte Carlo, St. Vincent de Paul, youth activities and much more. If you are interested in joining our family oriented organization please contact Mike Ryan at 330-874-0831or kofcmike@outlookcom.

Congratulations to Micah Fockler, Jacob Binsley and Gabriel Butcher all of who received their First Communion on April 25th at Holy Trinity. May the body and blood of Christ fill you with many graces!

We could use a little help with the following: live-streaming for Masses on Saturdays and Sundays. We also could use some more foggers after mass. only takes a few minutes. Lastly, we need a few people to help put the books back in the racks after the church is fogged. Training on tasks will be provided. Call the office at 330-874-4716 if you can help.

Mark your calendars for June 12 and 13th for a meet and greet after mass with Teresa Prince, the artist who created our beautiful murals. The event is open to the community so feel free to bring your friends and neighbors. Teresa will be happy to answer questions you may have. Packaged snacks and beverages will be provided.

That's all for now. Be Well and God Bless!

It is a Day designated by Jesus where Jesus has promised the extraordinary grace of COMPLETE FORGIVENESS of sins and punishment. In order to receive this grace one needs to go to confession before the feast and receive Holy Communion on Divine Mercy Sunday with the intention of obtaining the promised grace. We can prepare by doing acts of mercy such as forgiving people, praying for others and being more merciful to our neighbors. Information explaining more and how to prepare for Divine Mercy Sunday is attached. As a parish beginning on Good Friday we will be saying the Novena of Divine Mercy and the Chaplet in preparation for the feast. Instructions for the Novena and Chaplet are attached.
